Momentum is a DIY hardcore band from London, It features members from Light bearer, Fall Of Efrafa and XZieglerX. Momentum plays an interesting brand of hardcore, fusing d-beat drums that are melodic without sacrificing a wonderfully heavy sound. “Whetting Occam’s Razor” avoids getting trapped in the mires of sub-genres and the wankery that goes along with it; instead you get a very basic album that does everything right. uniting behind the banner of Feminism, animal rights, atheism, and the teachings of the great Carl Sagan, the lyrics are intelligent without being pretentious. Momentum seems to care about the message and artistic value of \their craft as much as they do ripping it up.

Not one to be too serious, there is a special treat at the end of the closer “Gender” kudos for the NOFX cover with an awesome Home Alone sample. Download the album for free at Momentum’s wordpress and pick up a copy from Halo of Flies. check out the track “Culture” below.
