Long time no see kids. I figured it would be best to bring you the latest album from Italian giants Raein.  “Sulla Linea D’Orizzante Tra Questa Mia Vita E Quella Di Tutti”  definitely has a different sound than their previous releases, SLDTQMVEQDT (what a mouth full)  has been described by the band as a “tribute..to ‘the do it yourself way'”. completely self-produced and self released, Raein shows that 10 years as a bad has not quelled their ferocity and dedication to DIY.

“Sulla Linea D’Orizzante Tra Questa Mia Vita E Quella Di Tutti” has a certain “shimmery” sound to it. I am not saying that they have lost their edge or emotional urgency and delivery that made me fall in love with them, but it sounds more grown up.  The guitar work is more organic, but does not lose its crushing delivery. “Oggi ho deciso di diventare oro” , the sixth track on the album is easily one of my favorites .Striking a delicate line between full on rager and a summery jam full of gang vocals and jangly guitars that really solidifies the hopeful yet crushing feeling of the album.

Raein  “Sulla Linea D’Orizzante Tra Questa Mia Vita E Quella Di Tutti” gets a perfect score. This is my favorite album of the year and the band has proved that it is just more than those guys who wrote “Tigersuit”

Download the album for free at the Raein website and throw a few buck at these dudes.
