Review: Coliseum – House With A Curse

Coliseum has come a long way since the self titled album released back on 2004.

House With A Curse has a sound that has its roots in hardcore but shows a maturity and creativity that is lacking in nearly all hardcore today. One of the first things I noticed where Ryan Pattersons change in vocal style, which more gruff, raspy and much more commanding, which really stand out in the track ” Blind In One Eye” and ‘Everything To Everyone”.

The Darker, more moody and more matured sound is a welcome change, and I am already declaring this at the top of my favorite records of 2010 so far.

Coliseum is currently on tour with Burning Love, which features Chris Colohan of Cursed.
